2024 Edition Description
You conjure a Large, spectral elemental in an unoccupied space that you can see within range. The conjured elemental lasts for the duration and looks like a roiling mass of the damage type you choose: Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Thunder. When you place the elemental, and as a Bonus Action on your later turns, you can move the elemental up to 30 feet. When the elemental enters or is in a creature's space, the creature must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 8d8 damage of the chosen type on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. A creature makes this save only once per turn.
The damage increases by 2d8 for each slot level above 5.
